Hi I am a new member and just over a week ago my husband and I received an income and expenditure form which we sent back within the 14 day time limit, I want to know what does ED mean for us I don't understand or see it as a benefit, we still will have to pay into an IPO for 3 years am I right? even if we get early discharge, and if it means we can apply for credit that is something we dont want to enter into ever again, if anybody knows I would be grateful, this site is brilliant.

Hi E1270

An ED or Early Discharge is good news. It basically means that providing your creditors have no objections then you will be discharged early from your BR.

Even being discharged early you will have to continue to pay your IPA and inform the OR of any changes to your income and expenditure until the 3 years or the IPA are up, and within 21 days of any changes.

Like i have said that is great news, well done you, let us know how it goes.

Take care

Jo
