Hi
I decided today was rhe day so i went to the Royal Courts of Justice this morning and put in my SOA and am now sitting at home waiting to return to court at 2.30 for my BR form.

As i am on incapacity benefit i got full remission of the £162.50 fee so i just had to pay £335.00.

I was the first one in the queue as i arrived at 9am but the cashiers office did not open until 10am by which time there were at least 25 people behind me.

Got a bit lost looking for the Thamas More building but once there things were pretty straightforward and they have a new system now as you do not see the OR on the sameday but wait for them to phone you.

Thanks for all the advice given

Hi Maizie,

It does seem to vary depending on which OR office you are dealing with, but if all assets have been dealt with at the start, it is normal practice to get an early discharge questionairre after about 5 months.

Is it normal to get a 6 month questionnaire? I thought that after your OR interview that would be it?

Hi Motorcycleman,

Well done, as skippy says unless anything untoward comes out this will probably be the last you here until the six month review questionnaire comes through.

My interview only lasted just over 20 minutes and the only time I heard from the OR's office again was when there was a misunderstanding over my IPA payment and when I had to contact them. I never had any more questions about my SOA.

Glad it went ok

Hi
Had the first contact with the OR via phone and he went through the SOA and it all took about 15 minutes.

All they want me to send to them is my personal pension policy . I did mention my credit cards but he told me to destroy them myself and dispose of them.

From what he was saying it seems they will not be phoning again. Is this normal as the interview was very quick but he did go through all the details.

Thanks

don't worry

it may take several weeks for the OR to get the info to the creditors so expect chasing calls & letters.

If anyone calls advise them that you are Br - give them the number XXXX of 2008 in RCJ. They may ask you to send in certificate but ask them politely to check on the insolvency webpage - they have acess so isn't a prolem

Hi
Still waiting for the OR to ring .

I had to go back to the RCJ yesterday as they managed to confuse my BR number with my nephews who was made BR at the sametime so we both ended up with his BR number.

They simply wrote on my BR form the correct BR number and then put an official stamp over it so i hope its sorted.

I am going to the Co Op bank this morning to open a cashminder account .

Have not heard from any creditors yet but i have 2 direct debits due which i cancelled on wednesday so it wont be long.

Thanks again.

Well done

hope the phone call went well for you - I did say that the Thomas Moore building was a long way , a large ball of string is very useful

I'm glad it went well for you. I found it was such a relief when I'd actually been to court. Good luck with the OR interview!
