Hi board,

I am presently BR and in an IPA. I believe that I might be made redundant in the next few months before my automatic discharge. I have a couple of questions:

1) What evidence will the OR want to see about my redundancy? Just the letter or P45 etc too?

2) Do you have to give any redundancy monies to the OR?

3) If you subsequently become employed after automatic discharge, do they start another IPA, or is it that, if you go through AD with a cancelled IPA, it cannot be restarted?

Many thanks

Hi,

If you are made redundant then the IPA will be suspended, you will need to supply the letter to the Trustee.

As far as the redundancy monies are concerned this would depend how much they total and your prospects on obtaining another job, in the first instance they may not take them, however if you line up a new job fairly quickly they would recalculate your disposable income and let you know what you will need to pay.
