Hi all it's me again with another simple question. I plan to troop off to the courts next week to do the business.

In the meantime I have a few letters that I perhaps need to deal with, one from my old bank and one from a company called buchananclark+wells telling me they plan to take me to court over bill with E-ON.

I am just wondering exactly what to say. I did think of something like

My apologises for this matter, however after years of struggling with my finances I cannot no longer fight to pay Peter by robbing Paul and at the expense of Harry, so I will in the next few days be petitions for Bankruptcy.
As soon as the details are finalised I am sure the Official Reciever dealing with my case with contact you. In the meantime could you kindly stop contacting me via letter or telephone.

yours

is that sort of OK

Thanks Julian and Suzanne. I will take that advice, I just went to telephone to make the appointment and after a torrential downpour some telephine lines are down between mine and Norwich, mine must be OK as I still have broadband up and running.

I must say, what an excellent place you have here, rapid response, kind friendly and above understanding. absolutely excellent it has calmed my nerves one heck of a lot, knowing there is a freindly keyboard here

Hi Gordo,

I agree with Suzanne. If you're going BR next week, you may as well ignore the creditors now as they won't have time to do anything (except hound you with nuisance telephone calls). Relax, you're amlost there!

Hi gordo
I would say that if you already have your appointment booked for next week that sounds fine. You are not obliged to contact them, and they are not obliged to stop contacting you - they are mostly automated systems anyway.
You should do what you feel is right.
