i have a step account with natwest which is a basic bank account the account is in order and i have my tax credit paid in, i filed for bancrupcty in june and the offical reciever said he is happy for me to keep this account, but i can,t get an answer off the bank just conflicting information from different people, will they be allowed to close this account even though i have always kept it in order, what is the proper procedure from the bank

Hi Warren and welcome to the forum.

It is standard banking practice for all banks to freeze accounts on publication of your BR in the London Gazette and the Stubbs Gazette. Unless you owe the bank money when you go BR, they are usually happy to un-freeze the account on written confirmation from the OR.
