Posted - 01 July 2008 : 10:28:23 Hi,
I am trying to work out my expenditures and have listed everything I can think of - mortgage, insurances, phones, household bills, food, petrol, car tax, haircuts, clothes, xmas, birthdays, dentist, optician, public transport, savings, pension and vet bills. Is there anything I have missed off?? Am I allowed to add any for holiday savings? Can I actually put xmas, birthdays and savings? ( I have put 10 pound for each of these).
Thanks a lot for your help.

Posted - 02 July 2008 : 11:35:07 Hi all,
Take a good look back through your bank statements to ensure you haven't missed anything. the key here is to tell the truth. The worst that could happen is the OR not allow it.

Posted - 01 July 2008 : 17:24:46 You can calculate your car maintenance by working out how many services are due from your annual mileage and then dividing. I would also include the cost of an MOT if applicable. Don't forget the Road tax as well. Make some allowance for tyre(s) and an exhaust.

Posted - 01 July 2008 : 11:34:39 I am going to put £30 for car maintenance, I am also going to list for sundries and emergencies (£40), hobbies and activities (£20), pocket money (£20), newspapers (£5), dry cleaning (£10). Highly likely that they may be disallowed, but better to have asked than not at all. |

Posted - 01 July 2008 : 11:01:02 Have you included TV licence, car maintenance, prescriptions. I think you are allowed up to £50 per month for holiday savings.

Posted - 01 July 2008 : 10:50:04 Hey Feather, I would put down an allowance for holidays and birthdays/Christmas as the worst that can happen is the OR not allow it. I know quite a few people on here have a holiday allowance. Good luck, Viki X |
