Can I avoide the house being taken if I signed over the house to my wife and I effectively become a tenant and then filedfor bankruptcy??

This would not be a sensible move if you have equity in the property, because the Trustee would simply have the transaction overturned. If there is no equity in the property, there is no problem in signing your share over to your wife.

For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com

Welcome to the forum lee, think this is viewed as 'disposing of an asset' and the OR would overturn it. Good luck on your journey.
