Posted - 16 July 2008 : 18:58:03 Hi all
Well having been surfing this forum for about a month now i have finally gone and got a date for my bankruptcy. it is tomorrow at my local court. Now i know that a lot of people on here have said that the court appearance is nothing to be worried about but i have the added problem of actually working at my local court, which has made this an extremely difficult situation. But i have battled several emotions of embarrasment, shame and guilt to get here and with a time to go to see the judge i know that the end is near and that a new beginning is just in reach.
So i am going to keep my head held high and even though they are allowing me to keep the situation as quiet as possible i know that people are going to find out. But i just think to myself well this is best for me and my family.
Anyway just wanted to say thank you to anyone who has provided me with advice over the last few weeks because it has been invaluable. i will let you know how i get on. |

Posted - 17 July 2008 : 11:08:06 That was one of the reasons that I didn't go BR rather than try an IVA - I used to work at the court and didn't want to see any of the people I used to work with. Because I worked in the magistrates' court, I didn't realise that the county court didn't deal with insolvency until my IVA was dealt with at another court. If I'd have know I could have gone to the High Court I might have done things differently.
Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.
