Posted - 19 July 2008 : 00:52:43 My ex husband has been made bankrupt and has a 35% share in the house I live in with my 3 children. The divorce agreement stated he could not realise this until my youngest reaches 18 (in 7 years). Can the receiver force me to sell early to give my ex the 35% ?

No the Official Receiver will have to abide by the terms of yoru Consent Order, unless he has grounds to believe that there was any collusion between you and your husband to delay the sale of the property and thus avoid paying creditors, in which case he could apply to have the order overturned - but this is quite difficult to do.
