Hi leanne

you must enter all name s that you have previously used.

it is in your advantage to do so because if anyt debts are in a name not listed on form they will not be included in BR

You have to put both names down on your SOA too, I had to and I have been married for over 20 years.

Depending up on the benefits you receive you can get a £150 rebate off the cost of the BR by completing the following form:

http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/courtfinder/forms/ex160a_e.pdf

http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/courtfinder/forms/ex160.pdf

This would bring the BR fee down to £360.

Your husband would not be affected by your BR unless any of the debts were joint. How long have you been married? I am not too sure about your debts being in your maiden name as there is probably some legal period in which you should have informed your creditors about your change in name.

As you are in receipt of income support, you will only need to pay £360 as the Official receiver's fee. You will apply for remission of your fees using court form EX160.
As the debts are your in your maiden name no-one else is affected.
Your bankruptcy will not be advertised I suspect and so no-one will know.
You don't say how much your debts are. If they are less than £15k you may wish to consider a debt relief order, which will cost you about £90.

Can you post some more info for us?
