Posted - 04 February 2010 : 12:20:10 I presented my bankruptcy petition to Hereford County Court, this morning, but this has been rejected because I have only been in my current address for one month. I produced the form on-line and I had a printed copy so i can not change it on line as it is locked My previous address was in london so my petition should have been presented to the High Court , London. The only change to the form will be the address of the local Court Please could you advise me: Should I submit the same completed form again even thought it shows the address of Herts County Court) Or/ Should I make a completely new application on-line with the High Court address in The Strand

Posted - 04 February 2010 : 14:42:41 Just to calrify - you can only file for bankruptcy at the court where you have been residing for the greater part of the previous 6 months. So in your case it would be London, be aware it is an additional £12 to file at the High Court (often throws people who do not take the additional monies with them)

Posted - 04 February 2010 : 13:02:31 Checking with the court is the best option but I would say that you would need to start a new application so it shows the High Court address. |

Posted - 04 February 2010 : 12:22:56 Hi nam
you might want to call the court direct ask for BR clerk
just a reminder that the cost of BR increases because you are going to The High Court
regards Richard |
