Hi, I declared myself B/R last June, I have recently found out I am expecting a baby. I will be a single parent when the baby arrives. What do I do about the IPA? I will not be able to afford it anymore as I need all the stuff for the baby? Any advice will be greatly received

Hi and congratulations on the happy news.

You should notify the OR as soon as your income changes.

As I understand the situation, the OR can arrange for the IPA to be stopped if you no longer have the income.

Good luck, Richard

Hi and congratulations,

You must inform the Official Receiver as soon as possible as your circumstances will be changing and you can not afford to make the payments for your IPA. The Insolvency Service can cancel your IPA.

All the best.
