I've been reading various posts for the last few months and wanted to thank you all for your various words of wisdom
After years of debt my husband and I had our bankrupcy hearing on Monday. On 15th February we will both have our phone interviews and am hoping to feel less stressed about the whole situation
I opened a basic step account with Natwest prior to BR and wrongly assumed I'd be ok. The OR clerk advised us both to check with our banks and I found mine is a problem. Unluckily i have debt with Barclays so can't open an account with them, husband has. I'm going to apply for a co op account tomorrow morning but have a major problem. The cut off point for my wages is on Friday and unsure how I can sort it. I dont want my work knowing, well the owner that is, as she would never understand. Not sure what to do though

My husband applied for his co-op account and it all arrived today, so will probsbly be the same with mine. I'm going to go into work and find out the day our wages get processed. The cut off point is Friday but I'm hoping they may get paid out on the Monday. Whatever I do i guess I'm going to have to explain it all. My manager knows and has been lovely, its just the owner I'm worried about. She's a nasty piece of work when she wants to be
Thanks for the reply

Can you have your wages paid into your husband's account?

When you open the Co-op account ask them if you will get the account details by Friday. If you do then you can use this account for your wages and if not you will need to use your husband's account.
