I am sure you will be fine - it is not a criminal offence.
You may well be asked on the application/recruitment "have you ever been bankrupt"
I wish you well in your searcfor a good life, Richard

Yes I am just exploring a career as a basic Marine I can understand that I may not be able to join whilst going though bankruptcy but after I would be discharged I dont see it would be much of a problem as the problem would be sorted I hope my theory is true

Not 100% sure.
I cannot imagine it will adversley affect your career - certain professions are not allowed in BR - chartered accountant, licencee, solicitor (if you are a partner in a law firm)High Court Judge!! You may have trouble in the banking profession too.
I know of serving police officers and others in local government at a senior level that are BR.
What branch of the services are you in - or are you simply exploring a career?
Richard
