The solicitor is my daughter's finance's brother, neither him or his brother know about my bankruptcy and my daughter would be mortified if they found out and she is really worried about it. I could use another solicitor if need be but this one was going to do it at a considerably reduced cost and as he has already started some of the work it may look a bit odd if I switch solicitors. I wonder if you would be able to advise me on this. I have already shown my passport and a utility bill to the solicitor which he has photocopied and would have thought that would have been sufficient. Any advice would be appreciated.
