My wife and I are both declaring bankruptcy. We have all the necessary paperwork from the courts but I am at a loss as to how to show our outgoines on the form to correctly reflect our individual situation. We have different incomes and a joint account which both incomes go into and all expenses are paid out of. We just live on whatever is left at the end of the month.

How do I show this on the outgoings form as there seems to be no provision for joint expenses and I dont want it to look like one of us has a high surpluss income.

Many thanks

remember the form does not show if you have a surplus or not, it is simply there to gather information which the OR will use to work out if you have a surplus

Hi Stenotts

If you are both declaring BR at same time your forms should reflect each others

on one of the pages you are asked to supply details of other person financially contributing to the house hold, so you just reverse it for each other. list total income for both, then total expenditure every thing down to pet food

Yes you will have to be meticulous at going through your income and expenditure, their are guides available but if you have all of the bank accounts and statements declare what you have spent.

Not getting your affairs in order now could have a long term negative effect, cars, house, pensions, endowments,

good luck Richard
