Posted - 13 May 2010 : 17:02:21 Dear All,
I was discharged from Bankruptcy in Nov 2007. I am just wondering if I try and get some kind of hire purchase car - whether they will accept me - or should I phone up first and inquire whether they would?
Has anyone who is discharged - had any luck with this? Kind Regards 369 |

However, my experience is in housing legislation and associated areas. Without blowing my own trumpet, I am well qualified. I am not currently employed, but have a great deal of expertise to offer in good faith as an expert - I was asked by the Forum to be an expert.
I do always try to give honest advice and what I said with regards to this particular matter was exactly the same as Paul or any other expert that I know.
I am familiar, of course, with the sterling work that Reviva does. I have the greatest respect for Paul and his team.

no disrespect intended Richard Housing i just like to differentiate between experts who give insolvency advice for a living and those who do not. i know Reviva does as no doubt others do on this forum i am sure the other Professional experts are good but as i have personal experience of dealing with RevivaUK and KNOW he is very Professional.
Dave
Don't worry or know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum.(Baz Lurhman) RevivaUK and Paul Johns helped me through it all i can't recommend them enough!!

there are some companies that will do HP for recently discharged Bankrupts. i believe Paul Johns from RevivaUK (one of the forum's professional experts) www.revivauk.com has successfully found HP for some of his clients following discharge

Posted - 13 May 2010 : 17:15:13 Hi
It is likely to be quite difficult as you will still have a "Bad score"
There are firms that will lend against a car for someone with a poor credit score, but if you find one, they will be expensive.
I do wish you well and post back if you have any luck, Richard
