Hi guys

I was discharged from bankcruptcy in oct last year on an early discharge. However Im currently renting a house which is £550 a month however a friend of mine has bought a static caravan home for less than £200 a month, Does anyone know of any finance company which might lend a discharge bankcrupt on a static caravan as obviously this would save us in rent, plus bills etc and help us get back on our feet?

Hi H & B

I do not know of finance company, you state that you are discharged have you escaped an IPA ?

If you are still subject to an IPA, if you reduce your rent the OR may reassess you and see that you have greater disposable income and increase your IPA.

If No IPA, why not rent your friends van or a neighbouring one, the money you save could be put aside to fund a deposit for buying a van a couple of years down the road.

trying to get a loan so shortly after discharge, you will be hit with higher interest rate or the requirement for a greater deposit.

regards Richard
