The rules say that you may keep a vehicle that is necessary for your employment, for most people who just drive to work £2,000 is sufficient, but i have seen loads of cases where a more expensive vehicle is allowed because it is necessary, they just look to see if it can be replaced by a vehicle that can do the same job and is cheper, they would not take the car away completely

Hi Thomas

everything is possible however ..

for most bankruptcy's you are allowed a vehicle to the value of £2000 which will not really cover a taxi, you will have to present a special case (it is not an automatic right that you will keep a fairly new car as a taxi) I know that Paul at Reviva has helped other taxi drivers prepare their case and keep their business open, it would be worth a phone call and chat.

The motor bike you would be struggling to show the need for both Taxi and Bike but it totally depends on your petition and full circumstances.

sorry no exact answer

regards Richard
