Okay, been discharged for a week now, so thought it was time to check out the damage on Experian. Not all of my debts that I went bankrupt for are on there (gave addresses for last 9 years). Those that are on there only 3 show default and of them 2 say satisfied and only one shows a sum outstanding.
Q. If I write to those showing default will it be removed? (it says satisfied next to it)
I was also given the chance to check my credit score..... which I did (just to check) and to my surprise it came back with 888 which puts me in the good bracket and in the top 29% of the country !
Guess something is wrong!

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.

Last IPA payment made on 30th June 2010 - it's over at last!

Hi MW

depends who the finance was taken out with

as debt info states experian, equifax and XXX (my mind has gone blank) are the three main credit ref agencies between them they will hold all of the information.

so it may be that you will have to write to all of your creditors as listed on your statement of affairs all of the info will stay on file for 6 yrs

regards Richard

Because they are not an official record just the club that the credit companys choose to be part of. There are at least 3 credit ref agencies, different creditors update differnt ones

Also the Official Receiver does not directly inform the credit reference agencies of the bankruptcy, if they show it,it is because they have picked it up from elsewhere

why wouldn't it show all of my debts, it shows loans etc from the past that were cleared before BR but not all that were included in BR?

No the defaults will stay for 6 years, but will show full or part satisfied
