I received a letter yesterday from the Inland Revenue informing me of my new tax code, (NT) as from my BR date of 24 June 10. I didn't expect that, who else has come across that. Would be good if I still had work but I was forced by my bully of a boss to resign two weeks ago after 3 months of bullying ended in me walking out early one day after I stood up to him. Seems i don't get to take him up for constructive dismissal as i was only there 11 months. I have an appt with the dole office on Thursday next week and the added pressure of my OH wanting me out of his life a s quickly as possible.

Where the hell do I go??? I want to go, don't get me wrong, he is going BR next month too and is under stress but it's not the main reason. We have grown too far apart to make it work out. 10 yrs of stress has almost killed us and it's time to call it a day for good. Do BR people get any help if unemployed? I know i won't qualify for housing executive (Northern Ireland) but do DHSS help with benefit for private renting?

This is beyond belief, finally I'm BR, qualified to teach, can't get a job until at least September, need to find somewhere to live (I'm taking one of my big dogs with me) What on earth am I going to do now? Suggestions welcome..............

Regards,

Hi Golf 88

NT tax code is awarded to all BR, the tax should be collected by a company called moon beaver, however if you are not working you will not have any tax to pay.

I do not know the situation with the lcoal housing association or DHSS but both have on call officers so try and make contact, have anappointment and they should give you some hints and hopefully help

regards Richard

I had a nt coding also ( most people in br do) the extra money you may get in wages from the nt coding must be paid to O R. ( not a prob for u if u ain't working at mo)

Sounds like you got it pretty tough at mo. Do u have any friends or relatives you can stay with? Have you had legal advice about your boss? May be he has been discriminatory towards you. I know it prob don't help but things can only get better for u
