Hi there i went bankrupt at the start of the month and have my first telephone interview on the 5th of aug. When she first called me to make this date of the 5th she told me that she will need all my agreements from creditors. I cant find half of them. Plus she wants to know what i spent my loan and credit cards on I CANT REMEMBER. Cant think strait she is going to go mad at me........

Afternoon all,
I think we all worry a great deal before the interview with the OR fearing they will reprimand us for spending lavishly. I think a certain percentage of our debts could be labelled 'lavis' as I'm sure most people have used credit for holidays and presents, etc, but I think the OR is usually down to earth and is well aware that not all the debts incurred are for life's essentials. If this wasn't the case I think we would all end up with BRO's. My OR requested very little in the way of spending proofs, so maybe I was very lucky, although I was completely honest when we had the telephone interview and informed her, as much as I could remember, what I spent the money on.
Try not to worry too much. I'm sure you will be fine.

The OR can get copies of all your agreements if they so desire, it just takes them a long time and some banks do not always cooperate.
forward what information you can to them to help with their enquiries, if you do not have it explain and say sorry
The interview is an information gathering exercise and checking that the answer you give are the same as entered on the petition.
If you have nothing to hide the interview will be fine, most OR investigators are nice proffesional and Understanding.

I'm in exactly the same boat. I have my interview on Friday and can't find agreements. Have located the most recent letters from collection agencies and sent them. Mine also wants 12 months bank statements. I couldn't print them and have had to request them from the bank and so far they not arrived so I have had to tell the OR I will forward them when I get them.
Am also really really ridiculously nervous about the interview. Worried that she'll go through things and question why I spent this and that. This is the most stressful part.
Went Br 20th July 2010...Just the OR to face now then countdown for 1 year...Or interview 30th July. |

She is not going to go mad, you can only give what you have, ust send them and say you dont have the others. |
