Good evening,

I have my telephone interview at 11am tomorrow and I am so stressed about it. I have gone through my SOA and realised that some of the figures I put down are incorrect and also I have missed off some expenditure. I have always been totally honest and my mistakes were not intentional but I am worried to death that the OR will find something (I know there is nothing to find but can't help being paranoid). Don't think I'm gonna get much sleep tonight. Have laid out all my paperwork ready for the call. Here's hoping it goes o.k. This has all been so stressful for me, can't wait for tomorrow to be over.
On the plus side I have now been able to answer my phones and it feels wonderful to let the creditors waffle through all their speal and I then tell them my news, then hey ho, no more calls, that has been great.
Wish me luck for tomorrow.

Thanks for listening.

Michelle

Thank you Melanie...Well it's all over. The OR was pleasant, we went through everything on the forms. She was fine when I couldn't remember dates etc. She says she will prepare the report for the creditors and said there were no problems. She doesn't think I will get an IPA other than the nil tax code but she will go through the expenditure form and write to me in a few weeks. Can't begin to tell you how much better I feel. My hubby laughed at me after the phonecall and said that my voice was shaking as I spoke to her..lol.
All in all can't say it wasn't a stressful experience but I have survived so far and dealt with it. Feels great to be debt free, am budgeting so well now and even have a few pounds in the bank, not much but normally 2 days after payday it had all gone. I have paid my bills this month and can still afford to feed the family (4 kids, hubby and 2 dogs), that is a great feeling. It had got to the point where we had £10 to £20 to last the week and needed food but at the moment I have my food money in cash and have budgeted. One of these days I may be able to save a pound or too.
Feeling really on a high now the phonecall is over with, long may it continue.

I would really like to thank all of you on the forum who gave advice, answered silly questions and told their own stories, this has really got me through the experience so far.

Don't worry, the initial information on the Statement of Affairs is often not completely correct, not because of intention but because figures etc change during the process, also you are not going to be judged for missing the odd creditor off the list, again this is quite common. It is the job of the Examiner on the telephone interview to go through things to pick up missing information. Remember the Examiner is not there to judge you or to trip you up, just to try to obtain the 'whole picture'

Try not to worry or panic

Melanie
