Posted - 07 March 2012 : 11:39:15 My husband is in debt. We are separated but the house I live in is in his name. The bank are wanting to take it next week. Is there anything I can do to keep the house ?

Posted - 07 March 2012 : 14:56:08 NO THE DEBT IS DUE TO MY ESTRANGED HUSBANDS BUSINESS OVERDRAFT DEBT WHICH I WASNT AWARE OF SO THE BANK ARE NOW ASKING FOR THE HOUSE TO BE SOLD AS HE HAS EQUITY IN THIS AND NO ASSETS IN HIS BUSINESS. ITS BEEN MY MARITAL HOME FOR 15 YRS AND I HAVE 2 YOUNG CHILDREN I HAVE NOW REGISTERD AN INTEREST IN THE PROPERTY .CAN THEY TAKE THE HOUSE FROM US

Are the bank repossessing because you or your husband have stopped paying the mortgage?
If you are in arrears, then the only way you could keep the house is to come to an arrangement with the mortgage company to pay off the arrears.
