Posted - 12 March 2012 : 23:39:17 hi my name is darren i have recently took out a DRO (debt releif order) and have had a bank account closed with the cooperative because there was not enough money in my account to pay a derect debit . now i cant get an account anywhere not even a basic account , the only ones i can get is ones that have a monthly fee of 15 pound or a post office savings account that u need 500 pound to open and no derect debits . i need an account where i can have derect debits and somewhere to have my wages payed into . Any help please it would be a big help many thanks darren

Try Yorkshire Bank or Barclays - I think they are usually ok.
Otherwise I'm afraid it may have to be a paid for account.
