Posted - 17 March 2012 : 16:49:00 My daughter and son in law have just been refused a mortgage. They were advised that to check their credit file and something has come up on the credit report for her son in law. He had an account with Nationwide that had gone overdrawn and it was disputed. the account was then sorted out and then closed the account but the dispute was not removed from his credit file. The bank hinfo said that it will take up to six weeks to get this removed from his credit file. Is it possible to have this removed sooner?
