Posted - 21 March 2012 : 20:15:33 I received an IPA from Official Receiver stating the amount to be paid each month. Can I appeal against the term of 36 months.

Posted - 22 March 2012 : 13:05:30 Hi,
Alas, the term is fixed - it's stuck for 36 months I'm afraid. However, you can (and should) discuss the amounts levied. Ensure that you have realistically oulined your living expenses and included all that can be included (a quick google search should provide a list). Negotiate. Bankruptcy is but a mechanism to get your life back on track - it's not meant to be (excessively) punitive!
Good luck.

Posted - 21 March 2012 : 21:30:47 Hi and welcome to the forum. As far as I'm aware you cannot appeal the length of an IPA.
Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.
Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 and I'm now looking forward to getting married in September 2012 - I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side.
