                | Loz | Posted - 22 March 2013 : 09:17:44 IVA about to fail - have made my 60 repayments and currently fighting a sale & possession order due to ex partner being made bankrupt-court date 23/4/13. Got a varitation to extend my F&F payment for 18 months which is now due. I have asked my IP whose his BTrusteee too, for another variation However I can't afford the fee for another variation (£750). If I don't pay today my IVA fails and Bankruptcy looms - any thoughts??

                | Niobe | Posted - 22 March 2013 : 11:54:46 You can but ask - I've not known anyone who has had to pay it upfront. It does seem silly to have to go bankrupt for that amount of money after all this time.

                | Loz | Posted - 22 March 2013 : 11:31:22 Hi I feel a bit uncomfortable naming her on the site as don't want to jeopardise anything. Can I request her to add it on to the F&F even though if the variation is granted I won't be paying the full amount but monthly payments - I really don't want to go bankrupt for the sake of £400! (I have £350 available)

                | Niobe | Posted - 22 March 2013 : 11:11:16 I'm really surprised - I was always under the impression that the fee was just added to the amount you owe.

 Who is your IP?

                | Loz | Posted - 22 March 2013 : 10:54:43 Thanks it is the IP who is charging this. She wants money cleared b4 hand. This is for a variation to make monthly repayments in lieu of equity and is my second variation - last one cost £250 upfront

Why have they said you have to pay upfront?
