hi matty5
from your post iam not sure if you are claiming benefit but if you are you may be able to get a reduction in the fee

Hi Matty,

It will be the local county court. I would suggest phoning in advance as not all county courts do BR. Some, you need to book an appointment in advance, and others you just need to turn up on the day. Best to check!

What jobs will you be looking for? BR can effect certain jobs/professions.

Hi Matty,

I'm 29 and also living with parents. I went BR last month, and although I'm on £1/hour more than Minimum Wage, I did not have to go into an IPA. The OR said that my figures were "well within acceptable limits" for someone in my position, so if you would like a rough guide of what I had accepted, just holler.

Only thing that's different in my case is my car, but I guess the £1/hour extra I get will cancel that out in your case.

Good luck,

T.

Hi
as you have no assets to protect your only consideration is the possibility of an IPA. As you earn minimum wage that would seem unlikely although living with parents would mean your expenditure is also low.
You certainly do not need a solicitor, just get the forms and use the forum.

Hi matty
if after making your regular contribution to the household you cannot meet minimum payments then it is your legal right to declare yourself bankrupt.

For most Bankruptcy is a dirty word to be avoided at all costs and 2nd only to castration (not you ladies!!). Try and think of it as a positive thing, a law brought in for the likes of your goodself to rid yourself of the misery you are going through.

Hi Matty,
Welcome. Sorry i'm not experienced enough to help with your questions. BR is a serious event with at least 6 years of virtually no credit facilities available to you and you are young. Hang in there and one of the experts will be alonmg to answer your questions. Dont forget the free helpline number.
Good luck
