Hi ,

I have had good advice from Julian before, however i am getting increasingly concerned and would welcome comments.

Went br august the 5th no mortgage arrears and i had a secured loan/ overdraft with barclays as a second charge.

The day after i went bankrupt i let the manager know who advised me to write a letter to negotiate i e- mailed and sent hard copy. I have also sent a further 2 e- mails and 3 calls and i spoke to my bank manager about my cocern 2 weeks ago, eventually she got back and said not to worry about the delay as they have a huge backlog with the current climate.

My worry is them issuing proceedings without any consultations and next thing the bailiffs arriveng.

Would appreciate advice

Regards

Johns

Hi Johns,

I would suggest that in the current economic climate, the bank would rather take an £850 pm payment than go legal. Wait for their response, but you should be ok.

The original payment agreement was 945 per month on 80k i have got the loan down to 41k and a business od of 26k, i have offered 850 per month but yet to no avail, as we speak they have not contacted the solicitor about my guarantee or the mortgage company.

Thanks for shedding any light on this situation Julian

Johns

I assume you are referring to making payments in connection with the second charge? If so, what was the original repayment agreement?
