Posted - 25 September 2008 : 16:53:59 Has anybody any idea where i put the early redemption charge into the br forms - i just dont see a particular place to put them. Also will the or want to see proof of this too?
Also, im a little worried - on the forms it asks when you initially started to struggle - in my case this was 2 years ago, which is why i tried to consolidate and had to use my cards and overdraft to pay for things as i didnt work. How is this likely to be looked at by the judge/or - its not as if i knew i would be going bankrupt.....if i knew that id have done it 2 years ago and not had as much debt....im feeling a little low today :(

Posted - 25 September 2008 : 20:13:43 Hi if you're completing the forms online then the redemption penalty should go in section 13 - additional information. If you are completing by hand then add the mortgage and redemption penalty together and enter the sum in the amount owed box in section 4. In the same box, in brackets, note the breakdown.

Posted - 25 September 2008 : 18:33:49 Hi Moneyworries,
My opinion is that early redemption fees are part and parcel of the debt, so I would just include that with your balance for the mortgage.
I wouldn't worry about the timing of your BR. Let's face it, there will be a massive upsurge in BRs as the credit crunch has put an end to the cycle of punishing the plastic and consolidating with a remortgage. There are going to be a lot of people in the same boat whose troubles will have only started a few months ago.
