Can anyone tell me does everyone get an IPA? Are you allowed to keep the first 100 pounds of any DI and then 70% of everything after the 100 is taken? At the moment it will not matter as we have no DI but hibby is in with a good chance of landing a job. It will not start till November and we are going BR mid to end of October. His wages would pay the rent we will have to pay from December and leave about 150-200 DI per month.

Thanks for that. Initially we will have no disposable income but when OH hopefully gets a job after rent we will probably have arounf 100-150 per month.

IPAs start with a DI of £100 on a sliding scale starting at 50% with a maximum of 70%.

The IPA is calculated by the OR so its down to them, everyone that pays PAYE (tax) should get the NT Tax Code IPA and if like us that is all we got as when they worked out our I&E we did not have enough for any other IPA.
