hi guys, just wondering if when we go br in jan/feb, would the or have a problem with us carrying on making the £80p/m payments on the setee and being able to keep it, rather than having to buy a new one?

hi guys, just read the paperwork......couldnt make much sense of it to be honest, although sure enough...at the top of the form "loan agreement"!
should be able to stick that in with br then and keep my settee...phew!

hi guys, i just assumed it was h.p. for some reason, it cost £2000 around 15 months ago...ill have a look at the paperwork and let you all know.

Let us know what your agreement says.
Like the others have said i would say you should be safe, and all that will happen is they will write off the debt and you should be able to keep the sofas.

Hi Mac
You would not be able to continue to make the HP payments on the settee.
However I strongly suspect that the HP company will not want to collect the sofa as it is now secondhand and likely worth £50 at auction, much less than the cost of collecting it.

Hi
it is most unlikely that your credit agreement for the settee is in fact hp.
Check your credit agreement looking for the term hire purchase. It would be most unusual for there to be a hire purchase agreement in place for such a purchase. In which case you cannot continue the payments but the chances are that you will not lose the item unless it is of seriously high value, just the debt.
