Hi, woke up at one this morning worrying one of my creditors on my BR are in joint names they actually have a levy on my stuff is it still ok to pay them as the debt is in both names and it would fall to my husband?.

Hi I phoned my OR and he said it wasn't a problem paying them as he had noted it on my SOA and technically it was OH paying not me

Hi kazy

Most joint finance comes under 'joint and several liability'.

That means they can pursue either of you or both.

Or in other words, if you become bankrupt they will most likely pursue hubby.
