Sorry me again, so many questions!

I understand in order to petition your own bankruptcy, you need to pay over £400 to do so. However, if you are unable to get that sort of money, would it be better to wait for the creditors to take action against me for non payment and would I still have to pay the bankruptcy fee if this happened?

Thanks

Hi Keith

I would try and get the fee together yourself as many creditors wont make you BR as easily as you think, they will try all sorts to secure their monies and where it costs them a lot more they will ride it out and try to avoid it at all costs.

Most people stop paying there creditors and save the fees for their BR, that way you can be in control and do it when you feel its right for you.

I would make sure that you have the correct advice and get a plan together if you are considering BR.

I hope that has helped you a bit.

Jo

Some people can get help with the fees etc...why not take a look at 'need a friend' blog - ITS GREAT

Depending on your income the court can waive their fee of £150, however the OR would still need to be paid by yourself - this is £345

Some people dont pay their creditors once deciding on going bankrupt to enable them to save for their fee.

Once again i would suggest you take a look at the blog to give you further advice.

The only problem with waiting for creditors to make you br is the months of calls, stress, looking over your shoulder etc etc....so if possible please try and take control of the situation yourself.

Onwards and Upwards is the way im going :-0)

xx
