Posted - 24 November 2008 : 15:31:13 my partner is declaring himself bankrupt, and we need to know about the fees. we are currently on income based jsa, child tax credits and child benefit. how much reduction would we get? thanks

different courts acknowledge different benefits / allowances and situations when considering waivering the court fees.
You should therefore contact your local county court and explain the benefits etc you receive, and your total household income, to see if you qualify.
If you don't the fees are £495 per person. If you do the court will waiver their fee (£150 per person) but the Official Receiver's fee must be paid (£345 per person) in any event, in cash and on the day you attend the court.
