I would call the OR and maybe they can look into it for you.

I dont know if you can try the HMRC, or you could get copies of your credit report and see who has gone for a CCJ.

Other than that i cant think of anything else.

Thanks so much for you responses, I can say it is not for student loan of CSA so it must be one of our creditors, he really dons't want to ask his wages department as they are not very confidential is there any other way we could see who this is for.

No

I doubt very much that it would be for his tax it may be an old creditor or like both John and myself have said a student loan, csa or something like that.

I would tomorrow get hold of the wages dept and also the OR and explain about this, if it is an oldc creditor then they have no right to do that now, unless it is of course one of the above that cant be included in the BR itself.

Let is know how you get on.

Thanks so much for your response, I am however a little confused, I myself have been paying my tax and IPA to the solicitor I was told to but my husband has never heard from them, he has no IPA to pay only his tax, is this AOE for his tax???

Hi

your husband should contact whosoever deals with his wages to establish where the received instruction to make the deduction originated.

If he is by now bankrupt he should not have an Attachment of Earnings deduction unless the debt relates to a court fine, CSA payment or student loan.
