Posted - 19 January 2009 : 15:48:28 i am on benafits at the moment, and want to declaire bankrupsie as i can not cope with the debt. how long after bankrupsis are u allowed to go back to work, cause i can not afford to work at the moment as a singlr perant to two small children and in debt, which was accumilated whilst in univercity

You can go back to work at any time, irrespective of whether your go bankrupt or not.
If the debt was incurred whilst at university, was it a student loan from the Student Loans Company? If it was, it is excluded from bankruptcy.
