Thank you for letting us know that - my hubby is also in the process of contacting the credit reference agencies as we have no financial links - fingers crossed will get the same results if he needs anything.

Posted - 24 January 2009 : 09:42:21 As Julian says, just fill out the Notice of Disassociation. It does work, as I too live with my folks, and mum has recently just got her first credit card & mobile phone contract.

Your parents will need to fill out a Notice of Disassociation with the credit reference agencies in order to mitigate this.
