Following bankruptcy and automatic discharge I have been working for 18 months to clean my credit files. All of the entries are now correct except one from carphone warehouse that is still listed as being in default. The problem with this entry is that it is for a debt that was not listed on my statement of affairs (when I completed my SOA I did not realise that I owed the money). The debt itself was covered by the bankruptcy but because it was not listed on the SOA carphone warehouse have refused to mark the debt as settled/satisfied as my other creditors have done. I took my case to the ICO but they ruled against me as the debt was not listed on the SOA. As defaults are only be removed from your CRF 6 years after the date they are marked as settled or satisfied am I stuck with this default on my file forever?
