Hello,

Well my bankruptcy came and went this morning, and I am really surprised at how fast it was! I got to the court about 5 minutes late after getting stuck in morning traffic, and was told to go straight through to a counter where a kind lady checked my forms were in order, told me where to sign and then say my declaration.

I then was told to wait for the judge to call me in, and I was left to wait for just 10 minutes (although I am sure it was actually at least half an hour!!)

I was shaking upon entering the judges room, and waited a few minutes in silence whilst he read through my petition. He then asked if I had received any advice about bankruptcy, and when i confirmed, he sighed and then said he would make the bankruptcy order (I am sure the sigh wasnt necesarily directed all at me, but still scary!).

By the time I was shown to a side room I received a call from the OR taking my details, and was told that I would receive a letter within 5 days detailing my interview which should last no longer than 30-45 minutes, and then was handed my bankruptcy order!

All in all I was in the court less than 40minutes.

So I just want to thank everyone for their help, and if I had known that the process really isnt as scary as I had imagined, I might have been able to sort my life out sooner!

I will post again one I have had my OR interview in the next few weeks.

Danni
