Posted - 29 January 2009 : 11:41:29 I'm currently in Australlia on a working holiday visa and will be travelling to New Zealand for a year in september to work. I'm a UK resident and have debts back home that I am unable to pay off. Is there anyway I can declare myself bankrupt from abroad or do I have to wait till I get back into the country? Thank you

You can go BR whilst abroad, but you'd need to engage someone to do it for you under a Power of Attorney. Paul Johns at Reviva (see experts page) does excellent work in this area.
