We desparately need help. My daughter is going bankrupt, she has been on sick pay for the past few months however she is due to start work again next week. My question is how do i fill out the bankruptcy form with both of those figures
(Wages and ssp)on it? She hasn''t been able to give me much info as she is so stressed out and to make matters worse she is also being evicted due to non payment of rent so everything is on top of her at the moment. Rent to landlord £510- The council have told her that the temporary accommodation they will provide for her as a homeless person has a rent of is £760!! They she went on the sick and gets about £74 per week I am very concerned for her and my 5yr old grand-daughter. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Jeanne, what a wonderfully caring parent you are. Your support will help your daughter get through to the light at the end of the tunnel.

Can I suggest you give the helpline a call or one of the forum experts, who all offer free and unbiased advice.

Good luck and I hope you can all get this worry resolved soon.

Here is the link you will need:

http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/

You should also find an allowable expenditure sheet using this link:

http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/freedomofinformation/technical/TechnicalManual/Ch25-36/Chapter31/part7/part2/part_2.htm

Hope it helps you a little

Hi there and welcome to the forum

Im glad to hear you daughter has a wonderful parent willing to help (i was lucky too)....As long as she has got help and backup she really will be ok.

Does your daughter know who she owes money to (i.e. all her creditors) ? I realise your daughter must be going through a very tough time at the moment but if you could try and find out it would be very helpful.

She will be able to include her current landlord in the br also.

Please let your daughter know that we are here for you both as and when you need us, and i promise (as someone who was once where your daughter is now) that things will get better once you start the proceedings.

Why dont you both read some posts together and maybe you will both feel a little better about things.

Good luck and please keep posting.

Hi

the forms must represent your daughter's situation as at the day she petitions the court. So her employment position as at that date dictates what should be entered.

With little income and an increase in rent she will need to apply for housing benefit as soon as the accommodation address is known.

Approach the forms one step at a time through the forum and you will get there.
