Posted - 13 March 2009 : 22:18:05 Hi
the chances are they will be frozen.
Inform your examiner asap and ask him to inform the bank that he has no interest in these accounts. He will only do this if he is satisfied that the monies in the accounts are barely sufficient to meet your reasonable household expenditure for a period of no more than one month.
Assuming the examiner agrees you will be able to access the funds but you should check with the bank to establish whether or not they are willing to leave the accounts open.
If you owe any money to this particular bank then intervention by the examiner may be required to get the funds released. The bank is not entitled to the funds even if you do have a debt with them but getting them to release it may take some work on your and the examiners part.
