I am due to petition for BR and am wondering what to say on the phone to my creditors. Should I just fob them off and not give them any clue that I am about to go BR? I cant afford to go BR till the end of the month, so do just have to put up with it till then.

Posted - 14 March 2009 : 18:43:26 Hiya. I would just tell them that you are declaring yourself BR and that you will give them the details as soon as you have them. They will need your BR number and the date etc.
I did this yesterday, for the first time and I was shocked at their response. As soon as I said the word BR, his tone changed. He wished me good luck with it and just asked that I provide the details when I have them :) I didn't expect it to go so well!
