Hi

From the 1st day you file for bankruptcy how long does things take before you can start using a bank account again

forgot to mention.....coop cashminder accounts are bankruptcy friendly, you will find it hard to obtain a bank account from any high street bank.

you can open a new account as soon as you have filed, there are a few companys that offer a prepay card that can be used pretty much anywhere (think banking) although there is a fee...around £12.50 p/m i think or you could do what i and a lot of other people have done and open a coop cash minder account, this is free and you can have all your d.d. collected from these accounts, its also a visa electron card that can be used in a lot of shops.
