Posted - 30 April 2009 : 14:26:19 Hi
Received a IPOQ income and expenditure form today prior to my discharge next month (can't believe how quick it has been!) and would like to ask a couple of questions if I may.
Firstly, both my husband and I are in receipt of benefits only and it was only myself that went BR.
It asks how much my partner contributes each month to household expenses. As we are both on benefits how do I answer this question? Is it applicable to my situation? Obviously the benefits are just paid into his bank and we pay everything from there. I don't have any sort of bank account.
We receive DLA for our son. I did put this down on my I&E when I went BR so I know I should put this down now but can it be taken into account in any way with regard to an IPA as it is his money really but is paid into my husband's account.
Many thanks in advance for any help and advice :-)

You can pro rata the amount your husband contributes to reflect that he puts in 50% of the expenditure if that is how it works out. It is a bit academic anyway as they cannot force you to pay an IPA even if you show a large surplus.
Posted - 30 April 2009 : 16:12:33 Thanks for that. Am aware of that but really need some advice re. above concerning how to put these 2 things onto form.
Thanks again.
