I've never made a claim on my home contents policy, every few years I swtich my provider to get a better deal.

My current policy (for rented one-bed self contained ground floor flat) expires July 2007.

I am going to declare BR this month.

Can i expect to pay a higher premium for Contents Insurance being a BR?

What are other peoples experiences or stories? Cheers

Any recommended Insurance companies for us BR's ?

I can't remember exactly what it was, but I am sure that her and her partner did have problems.

Hopefully she will come back about this.

There shouldn't be any problems getting car/contents/house, etc. insurance unless you want to pay monthly. If you pay the full amount straight away then it should be fine.

I have had car/contents insurance in the past with numerous companies and none of them have ever asked if I was declared BR.

I've read through Skippy's blog a few times and see that she has car/contents insurance on her I&E but can't remember her having problems with either unless she out this on a post rather than her blog.

I've just re done my contents insurance, after going BR 31/03/2009. I found very few that did not ask if ever been declared bankrupt, but TESCO didn't, and found them to be among cheapest. I completed on line, and pay by installments now no problem. Would reccommend you try them.

I have a feeling that Skippy experienced problems getting insurance as she was BR.

Don't know how she got round it.
