Posted - 04 May 2009 : 22:05:45 can a bankrupt person vote? in the general election please? and also my perents who are elderly have left everything to my sister before the i went bankrupt so incase anything happens to them they would not lose it if it went to them, how long would they have to keep the will lik this please is it a year or more? thank you once again for helping me with my constant worry.

yes you can vote - not restrictions at all there.
you would need to advise the Official Receiver of any windfall - inheritance - during the period of bankruptcy. Once discharges you can do as you will.
therefore your parents may decide to exclude you from the will during the period of Br .
