Good day all

We both went bankrupt in October 2008 individually

In February 2009 we received Early Discharge forms to complete and promptly sent them back.

We had not heard anything and to be fair we were being pescimistic about obtaining the Early Discharge.

I bit the bullet and emailed the RTLU this morning at 0911 hrs to enquire if we had been unsuccessful as we had not heard anything and to my suprise received an email back in 5 mins stating

'I can confirm that we are in the process of securing your early discharge. Creditors have been notified and we have had no objections. We will therefore be filing for your discharge at court. Once the court sealed papers have been received we will send you a discharge certificate – hopefully within the next 2 weeks.'

My partner will be made redundant after the discharge so does she get to keep all of her redundancy money?

Cheers
Sleepless

If you are discharged then it will show on the IS site as discharged then will drop off after 3 months.

Morning,
We are still awaiting Early Discharge (see my original post in this topic).
After reading the forum it transpires that the Insolvency Register will show your name for a further 3 months so we dont actually know if we are discharged yet.

Apart from contacting the OR (who we all know is very busy at the moment) - Is there another way to find out if we have been given early discharge.

Thanks
Matt

Two lots of good news there Sleepless; the early discharge and your partner keeping the redundancy money. Should be worth a couple of beers over the weekend.

thanks john,

She is going to college for three years doing midwifery so the funds will be utilised over the three years into the family income.

Great news
